Excellent location and host! Highly recommend!

Owner very friendly and helpful. The room is in a nice location. Fridge and microwave in the room with plates, cutlery etc. On our second day we realised that the toilet was leaking, the owner got that sorted very quickly.

It is NOT an apartment, it is a room with an en-suite bathroom. Perfect for a single person as there is very little room to move around. At €50 per night, it is definitely overcharged.

The only positive for me was that it was my last week in South Africa, so at least I got a chance to get away from home for a bit. Unfortunately, the accommodation itself did not meet expectations, and I would not stay here again.

I would not recommend Aloe Studio, especially considering the price. Last year I stayed at another place in the same surrounding area for only about R200 more, and it was a full house with excellent service, so the comparison made this stay even more disappointing. The address listed on Booking.com was not accurate. The actual entrance was around the corner from the listed location, which caused a lot of frustration. I stood outside for about an hour trying to contact the owner, only to later be told that her phone had been stolen and the contact details had not been updated on the system. This made check-in unnecessarily stressful. The internet barely worked during our stay, and when it did connect, it was extremely slow and unreliable. While trying to connect to the WiFi and set up screen sharing to the TV, my girlfriend’s tablet was hacked, which was very concerning and added unnecessary stress to our trip. The room itself was very small and had a strong unpleasant smell, similar to urine, which made the stay uncomfortable from the start. Overall, the experience did not justify the price at all.
