USThis is a lovely modern ground-floor apartment located right outside the historic center of Caltagirone. It is clean, beautifully decorated, and nicely situated -- especially if you have a car because street parking is available right in front of the apartment. It is about a 10-minute pleasant and safe walk to the centro. We were there for four nights, used the car almost every day and had no problem finding close parking when we returned. The apartment was extremely quiet at night and is right across the street from a lovely public park, the wall of which is decorated with beautiful majolica tiles -- Caltagirone is known for its ceramics and the city proudly shows this off by decorating the public areas with these colorful tiles. Back to the apartment: The mattress was comfy, but the mattress pad and sheets need to be upgraded. The bathroom is modern and the shower had good water pressure, plenty of hot water, drained well and didn't leak! There's also a washing machine in the bathroom. The living room area was comfortable and right next to the well-outfitted kitchen. If you're looking for a nice place in the charming ceramics town of Caltigirone and you need parking, do consider staying here.
The bed, though comfy, needs an upgrade in bed linens: a new thicker mattress pad to prevent feeling the seams of the mattress and with stronger elastic so it stays on the mattress; and a new set of sheets with better elastic on the bottom fitted sheet so that it also stays on the mattress.
ITAbbiamo trascorso una notte a Caltagirone in questo delizioso bilocale molto spazioso , arredato con grande gusto e cura dei dettagli. Il padrone di casa è stato estremamente gentile e disponibile, offrendoci ottimi consigli e facendoci sentire come a casa. La nostra esperienza complessiva merita senza dubbio cinque stelle!
