Very quaint Japanese style house. Nice little kitchen. Large bedrooms. Cute balcony. The landlord was exceptionally helpful.

Bathroom on first floor, but bedrooms on the 2nd. We’re old so a slight inconvenience.

Very clean. Great location - not in the main tourist area but right next to a little river and within walking distance of shops, Gion and Kawaramachi. Bedroom was very nice and it was great to have the extra tatami mat. Very beautiful construction of house.

The bathroom/bath was downstairs and it was very cold in the lower part of the house, even with the heat on. The pillows were extremely thin. A little hard to find at first but easy to locate afterwards. Felt a bit overpriced for the house overall as it was not very big and older/thinner walls.
