Montebelo Milibangalala Bay Resort

The rooms are clean modern and comfortable with all facilities included. The place is quiet and far from everything in the middle of the bush within the national reserve of Maputo. What makes the entire trip amazing as you can see animals along the way. Fantastic! Good to relax. The food at dinner was great although it wasn't in the breakfast. They have swimming pool towels in the swimmingpool in case you didn't bring yours. It is only 2h far from Maputo.

Must reach only by 4x4 and you must pay attention carefully to the map they give you in the entrance of the reserve to get there. Be prepared to pay in the entrance of the reserve (not that cheap). In terms of the service of the restaurant dinner have few options but the food is delicious. I didn't enjoy the breakfast and the services in breakfast. Giving that the place is far from everything and the breakfast is included in the rate (which is not cheap) it should be better. Careful with the road within the reserve if you have back problems don't dare going there.

The view is amazing from all angle and the food was also very nice.

Access is a major problem, we were not informed that we will need a 4 x 4 to access the property, we ended paying 16 000 just for someone to pick us up from the gate to the resort.

Situated inside the Maputo Special Reserve national park, this property has breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean in a lovely setting. It's either new or newly refurbished hotel with separate bungalows of various accommodation capacities. Staff was very friendly. Food, despite the limited variety, was delicious at dinner. Breakfast was adequate. The hotel is spic and span. Bathrooms were excellent.

Although it's not the property's fault, the 22 km (13.5 mi) access road -99% a sand track, really- from the entrance of the national park to the hotel is simply atrocious. It lasts a good two hours to drive and is only passable with a proper, fully capable 4x4 vehicle. By the time the guests arrive, they are simply exhausted. The breakfast service is from 07:30 until 10:00 hours. It could be until 11:00. It also has a lot of processed meat products and not enough cheese. While we did enjoy our stay we will probably not come back.
