Centrally located Studio Apartment

Entering to the apartman was really fast thank to the description of the owner. I mentioned that we would arrive earlier when check-in-time, they were absolute very flexible and get some tips how to spend time while the house lady was cleaning the flat (at last everything was finished when we arrived). apartman is 5 minutes walk from big malls, market and 10 minutes walk from the old city. The apartman was well-equipped, I was really grateful for the hair dryer. Coffee, tea, sugar was available.

Markela iela is a noisy, traffic street with extremely loud cars and motorcycles. We were informed that water maintain would be worked and we didn't have hot water for 2 days. Fortunately weather was not hot either :) In the middle of the week someone dropped two cups of coffee in the staircase but there was noone to clean it :(

The apartment was located between main train station, city center and old town. So it was very easy to get everywhere. The owners were very kind and attentive and responded very quickly.

Staying in the apartment during a hot July week was almost unbearable. Because all windows went out on a hugely frequented street, the noise (especially because of motor bike riders accelerating to big speed), was really loud even through closed windows. With closed windows however, the apartment quickly heated up so you couldn't really manage the temperature.

Everything is convenient – the location, the apartment, a very stylish and comfortable bathroom, and cozy common area. The absolute best thing about this place? The installed water filter—it’s the most amazing feature in the entire apartment!!!

The apartment gets very bright at night, so roller blinds might work better than curtains. The kitchen stove and vent don’t function well, and the old frying pan makes food burn easily. Otherwise, the space is clean—though the white curtains could use a wash.

The apartment is as in the listing photos. The location is central so you can go anywhere really and have lots of shops and cafes around. In terms of the apartment, self check in/out is simple, instructions are provided about all aspects such as trash and WiFi. Everything is pretty neat, there are all the amenities listed - such as toiletries, hair dryer, shampoo. There's also a safe, washing machine, etc. but i didn't try to use it. Ironing board and iron, drying rack. All very convenient. There's filtered water tap if you worry about it and buy bottled water, but to be honest water in Latvia is ok from ordinary tap. The main thing for me is good water pressure, the shower works very well, I would stay there for a longer stay. It's 10-15 min walk from old city of Riga and 3 minute walk from various bus stops, 5 minutes from train station. All tickets are on mobilly app. There's also a few pay parking spots right outside, but they may all be used on busy days.

It's perfectly fine and expected, the flat is right on busy city centre streets almost at Central train station. Trains are far away since the station is large, but noise from cars and motorcycles can often be loud enough if you mind that, don't think you'd find a much quieter place near this location though. The floors are also a bit squeaky, if you're not solo traveller and wake up early. The pillows were soft but thick, this is more personal and didn't bother me too much, I usually use more flat pillows.

Location is super good, there's even a mall within a 5min walk, very peaceful area. Clean and cosy apartment with everything you need to have a great holiday. Coffee and basic seasoning were provided. Very comfortable pillows and bed.

The teflon frying pan was totally "shot", I used the steel pot to cook everything, that worked well. Should have some more toilet paper, more than 2 rolls.
