Clean apt, walking distance to the beach, close enough to Chania (10 mins drive to the marina), everything in good condition, very good communication with the owner.

Just a couple of things that are not accountable to the host or property: (1) the apt. is pretty small and that includes the bathroom. You need a lot of caution to master the right flow rate of the shower so that you won't flood the whole bathroom... (2) the location is next to the Natl Road which may be a problem if you are a light sleeper; (3) it is located on a ground floor which is ~0.5-1 m below the road level, so don't expect much of a view. As I said, nothing the owner could change, so these are not a critique - we felt just fine.
