Umhlanga Profession Pad

The room was perfect the coaches were comfortable.

I will start from the the securities they were so rude. We intended to stay for 4 days but we ended up staying for 3days. The room did not have AC it was so hot, the towels and bedding did not have pleasant smell. There was no broom in the room to clean imagine staying in a place for 4days without cleaning and mind you we were cooking.

The place was very neat.

You should consider an AC during the unbearable heat. There was no scrubber to wash dishes, and you could have mentioned to bring our own sugar, tea and coffee.

There was absolutely nothing to like I was refused my booking as they had given it to someone else, this experience was absolutely horrendous having left me stranded in another city having no where to stay on the 27th of December at 10pm due to incompetence and extremely unprofessional staff.

When arriving at the Unprofessional Pad I come to find out that my booking was given to another person, on the 27th of December - at 10pm I was turned away saying there’s nothing they can do to house us as they had given my booking away. I had even called them earlier in the day to advise them that my flight will be landing in Durban just after 9pm and was told that it is fine I can collect the keys from the security up until 11pm only to find my room had already been checked into. This was the worst booking experience I have ever had, calling themselves the Profession pad this was the most unprofessional service and reception I have ever received. I was told numerous times that there is nothing they can do to assist me regarding my booking which was confirmed and paid for over a month in advance - I was told at 10pm that there is no room available that they want to cancel my booking, where in the world do they expect us to find somewhere to stay at 10pm on the 27th of December, flying from Johannesburg heading straight there from the airport now finding myself stranded in Durban with no where to go. Their service was absolutely pathetic as well initially being ignored for half an hour and having my calls declined, thereafter finally being able to contact Airhostings I sat on the phone literally in the lobby of the hotel for 1 and a half hours with absolutely no feedback, the person I was on the call with was silent on the line for the entire duration of the call when requesting a response they were very quick to respond saying they want to cancel our booking which I had confirmed and paid for on the 14th of November. I am requesting to be contacted by management to discuss my grievances.

We arrived at 14:00 for checking in,the room was not ready,we waited till 15:30,even though,we struggled to get a room key from security

The security staff is very friendly I must say. Everything was clean and available.

The rooms are nice and the option of self catering is adventurous

Communication is very poor, there has to be improvements on the reception desk.
