Ganga Homestay Sigiriya

L’impression d’être à la maison !! Prantha et sa famille sont adorables. On a passé un séjour merveilleux au sein de sa famille. On était tellement bien que nous avons rajouté 2 jours supplémentaires ! Prantha a été d’excellents conseils pour explorer la région. C’est l’endroit parfait pour faire un safari éléphant (le chauffeur qu’il nous a conseillé était top ! ), le Lion rock ou encore Polonnaruva (on y est allé avec Prantha qui peut vous faire explorer la région pour un bon prix). On a même rejoint notre étape suivante avec lui (Nilaveli). Possibilité de prendre les dîners au sein de la Guesthouse ( excellents !) et les petits déjeuners sont top !

It is a true homestay. You or your group are the only customers and the host lives right next door. They are a nice Family and make a lot of helpful suggestions and offer to organize trips. Everything is clean.

The rooms have AC on booking. However, it is extra charge, which i only learned when i arrived there. On one hand it is very inexpensive on the other hand the AC is a 50% increase... I dont like this. Just make two options in booking. I think that is more transparent.

It was a wonderful stay! Since there is only one room, you receive very attentive service. It's easy to discuss your itinerary during your stay. As they own a tuk-tuk, getting around is easy. They can also arrange elephant tours. Ganga's cooking was incredibly delicious, offering traditional Sri Lankan dishes. The portion sizes are surprisingly large, which is especially recommended for big eaters. The fruits and fruit juices were also very tasty. The bed in the room was comfortable and came with a lovely large mosquito net.

Everything!! incredible family, who welcomed me with great affection, respect, making me feel at home. everyone very helpful. The location was perfect, very peaceful environment. The room was very clean, new, everything was perfect! The owner is also a tuk tuk driver which made all my trips easier, always very helpful. If I ever go back to Sigiriya, I will definitely stay here!!

Great place. Clean and new plumbing. Very comfortable bed. The owner of the guesthouse is a tuk-tuk driver and a professional in his field. He will take you where you need to go for a good price. He knows Sigiriya better than any guide. His wife cooks wonderful breakfasts and dinners. Believe me, it was tastier and cheaper than in local cafes. I highly recommend it.

Ganga homestay has been my favourite in Sri Lanka in terms of cleanliness, comfort and with how kind the family were! This isn't a place to meet fellow travellers but if you're looking for privacy, this is a great option. I was even unwell during my stay and they took great care of me.

Our stay at Ganga homestay was amazing. The family was super friendly and they cooked delicious food for us. They made juices with fruits from their own garden and we tried fresh coconut water. He gave us advice where we can go and brought us with the tuktuk to the beautiful places, even for sunrise to the Lions Rock. And the room was very clean and comfortable. We had an amazing time there and would definitely visit again. Thank you so much for everything!

Beautiful Place to stay. Super close to the two rocks! The garden is lovely and has everything: Chili, Lime,Mango, coconuts…a rice field in the back :)The oweners are very welcoming and want to make sure you are having the best experience in Sigiriya. It was a super clean and basically new! We had an amazing breakfast. Really recommend staying here!
