Secret Garden Chiangmai

Absolutely loved it. Away from the city, lovely rooms and beautiful people. If I could, I'd definitely stay longer.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, also the villas are private and quite big and clean, also you feel like you are in a real secret garden with all.the vegetation, it's really pretty 😍

This is a wonderful family run property that is perfect little oasis on the outskirts of Chiangmai. We loved the large bungalows that are perfect for families with kids who enjoy the lush garden. The family run feeling here is the highlight of our stay as you feel at home here and was perfect relaxing escape from the touristy center of town. Isabel and her family are very welcoming and put a lot of care into making their guests feel comfortable. We enjoyed the amazing breakfast their family cooked each morning as well as some of the generous and very reasonable dinners they offered each evening (including some great cocktails!). Getting around they have bikes you can use to ride through the village or if you are into catching big fish go to a nearby fishing park. Grabs are convenient to catch and only about 20 mins to the main parts of town. Having your own car is most convenient here as a base for day tripping around Chiangmai area. Highly recommended place to stay for exploring Chiangmai and enjoying a relaxing friendly environment.

If I could give this 100 stars I would!! Isobel and her family are so kind and accommodating! We absolutely loved the villa and its furnishing and felt comfortable and at home. The beds were really comfy as well with A/C in the room. The resort is really peaceful with the pool and there’s are bikes you can use to go to other local towns. It was really nice to stay somewhere slightly away from the busy centre. The breakfast spread was absolutely amazing as well and included fresh eggs, fruit, pancakes and so much more! There was a football table, a pool table and plenty of books to read. I had a reaction to a couple of mosquito bites and Isobel and her family went above and behind to make sure I was okay and had everything I needed. We stayed over Christmas and it was really special!

The only issue we had was getting a grab/taxi to the resort as it was a little further out!

Gorgeous property, friendly staff, delicious food! We are a large family traveling with young children and grandparents and staying at Secret Garden was the highlight of our Chiangmai trip. The owners and staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, they helped us arrange day trips and transportation. We’ve traveled all over the world, and this is one of the best bed and breakfasts we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. Highly recommended!

Loved everything!

This was, hands down, the best place we've stayed in all of our travels. It's family run and they really make you feel like family. We were only booked to stay 2 nights before moving closer into the city but we loved it so much that we canceled our other hotel bookings and stayed at the Secret Garden for our whole trip to Chiang Mai. The environment is enchanting and cozy with amazing plants and sounds all around, even though you're a short bike ride from a nearby city street with great food and shopping areas. We borrowed some bikes the first day and rented a moped our second day and Isabel and her family were the absolute best with everything. Getting a Grab car for trips further into Chiang Mai was super easy and not expensive at all either. It was great to come back after a busy day to a more relaxing space too. The food and family feel was amazing and I would 1000% come back here and bring all my friends and family! Including kiddos because the play area and pool area are great too! Cannot sing enough praises about the Secret Garden!

I honestly don't often write reviews, but I think this was by far the most stellar stay at a resort I've had EVER! Run by a family, the whole place had a family feel; Mexican style architecture mixed with thai style in a beautiful, lush garden. Isabel, Peter, and Pai were incredibly warm and welcoming! From reservation to checkout they went above and beyond to communicate and make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was all from scratch, plentiful and tasty. We ordered a few other meals from the kitchen, including a German feast prepared by our hosts, that were fantastic. Beds were clean and comfortable. Pool was clean and the garden itself was restful and secluded. For us this was just a quick 'stay-cation' in the city and met our needs perfectly. Whether that or passing through Chiang Mai, Secret Garden should not be missed!
