Cotswold Garden Cottage

As soon as we walked in we fell in love with the small cottage, it’s also a lot bigger on the inside than the outside. The cottage was nice and warm hot water on demand and spacious too. A great example of a little holiday cottage.

Nothing to dislike.

No breakfast supplied. The little country town was lovely. Lots of places to visit within a short distance.

Unfortunately our experience was not one we would like to repeat. There were so many stairs outside & inside so would not recommend this property for anyone with a disability or older (about 12 steps outside & 18 or more inside.) The property was over 3 levels 1st level at entry up lots of stairs to the lounge & then up more stairs up to the bedroom which you could only stand upright in the middle of the room due to being like a loft area. The bed was too big for the mattress making it easy to knock your shins on the timber frame. Mattress was tired & was sunken Sheet, duvet cover & bedhead, sheet & pillows had several white marks/stains. The lounge had the most uncomfortable couch ever, The oven had pastry inside from he last people still inside YUK! A rusty fan Lots of burnt out candles most finished???? Lots of plastic plants everywhere...... The bathroom has lots of almost empty bottles of shampoo conditioner & body wash, left by others I assume Why????? The cottage was a couple of rooms over a shop & facing the main road. You couldn't open the windows as it was so darn noisy. We couldn't wait to get home. Spoke to the hosts who offered to buy us a drink which we kindly refused. All in all I’m afraid I could not recommend this property. I feel the whole property needs maintenance & upgrading. It was a real shame as the decor & bathroom were stunning. I hope the host take this constructive criticism & do some maintenance.

This apartment is superb! The photos really don’t do it justice! Cosy and comfy, just a stones throw away from all the shops, pubs and restaurants. There’s nothing not to love here.

Beautiful cottage in the heart of Chipping Norton and close to everything but nicely tucked away with a private garden and parking…which can otherwise be hard to find. The bed was amazing! Host was very responsive
