Brensholmen Beach House

Alles war perfekt. Wir hatten sehr schöne Tage mit Nordlichtern, entspannte Stunden vor dem Karmin und Spaziergängen im Schnee oder am Meer. Im Haus haben wir uns von der ersten Minute an sehr wohlgefühlt. Terje ist der perfekte Gastgeber, er hat uns mit allen notwendigen Informationen versorgt, tolle Empfehlungen zu Unternehmungen gegeben und uns herzlichst empfangen und verabschiedet.

Everything. Beautiful place. Super nice host. Northern lights from the terrace.

This gorgeous place is utterly magical. Cannot speak highly enough of the experience we had. Terje is a wonderful host, helpful, kind and full of useful information. The house has everything you need and is beautifully decorated. The area is incredible - nature, solitude, mountains and water. And - best of all - we saw the Aurora every night from the terrace and from the floor to ceiling glass window. If you are travelling to Tromsø, this is THE place to stay. Absolutely wonderful.

Nothing. It was perfect. Utterly perfect.

We can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation! The host Terje, the fantastic house right on the beach, the view - everything was wonderful. We found the beach house well equipped, super clean and tidy, and attractively furnished. And we enjoyed the cozy fireplace. We had a great time there. Terje even “managed” to give us a cloudless sky on the first evening so we could see the fantastic Northern Lights, without any stress or heated insoles, directly from the terrace or even comfortably from the living room through the large windows. Don't miss this beach house!

...that we could only stay for four days. This is not a criticism, but you should be aware that the options for eating out at restaurants and shopping for groceries are limited in Brensholmen. Although there is a small grocery store (Joker) nearby, it is best to do your major shopping in Tromsø on your way to the beach house. This is especially true for people who like to enjoy a glass of wine by the fireplace :-).

Pour le gîte, j ai rarement vu aussi beau,lumineux et en prime avec des aurores.boreales. Si je devais mettre une côte sur 10, je mettrais 20 !

Tout était parfait.

The space is beautifully curated, with everything one would possibly need for a winter wonderland stay. As soon as you enter it feels so comfortable like home away from home. The host is exceptional - communication, information, knowledge of local area all 10/10. We were travelling with two young children - we initially had a lot of excursions booked, but we cancelled two upon our arrival as we were just so excited to explore the beach and sled around the house. The cosy interior with open floor plan and surrounding floor to ceiling windows make for the perfect space to watch for northern lights. The drive into Tromso is easy even when it is heavy snow, we had no issues and the scenic views are breathtaking. What a special find. Cannot wait to return!

The house of Terje is super cosy and we were sad that we had to leave after three nights. We lobed the location and the very tasteful interior design. It was very clean and we enjoyed warching Netflix in the evening after lots of snow tile during the day. Thank you Terje and I hipe we stay in touch!

Terje, the owner of the house was very helpful. We had issue with our rental car and he helps us a lot. He even went from tromso to brensholmen to greet us and explain to us about the house. He even informed us if got storm and when it safe to go out. The house not only got the basic cooking ingredient, they also got few spices, flour, rice so its very easy for you to cook your own foods. Its also near Joker, where you can get your groceries. The house was also very spacious, beautiful and the bathroom already included with washing machine. Last but not least, we even get to see the aurora from this house. So you should reserve this house!

The road before getting into this house was a lil bit hilly. so I advise to park your car the nearest private parking unless you get a 4-wheel drive.
