Taynuilt Inn Apartments

Excellent rebuild of the old Inn. Contemporary design. Linens were top class. Beds were extremely comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped.

Tables not wiped down. Rubbish in bedside drawers. Floor not hoovered. Noisy road. Car park needs finishing.

Had to go to Oban about 20 minutes away for restaurant or pub

It suited the purpose of the trip

We booked a 3 bedroom apartment but the third apartment had no door! It was not mentioned in the description!

Very comfortable and quiet. Also, well equipped.

Only small issue was that no instruction booklets for the washing machine and coffee maker were provided which was strange as the property is quite new.

There are several shortcomings. The apartment would benefit from a simple guide explaining how to use the appliances (for example, the coffee maker). There is nowhere to hang clothes or towels in the bathroom, exposed wires hanging below the TV, and basic kitchen items are missing, including oven gloves, wine glasses, and a corkscrew. Individually these are small issues. The main disappointment was the misleading advertising. The Inn was advertised as having a restaurant and pub on site. As we booked this break specifically to avoid things we do on a daily basis like cooking, this was a key reason for choosing the property. Finding this was not available significantly affected our stay. Especially as I spoke to someone when I phoned to pay extra for the dog, they at that point could’ve said about the restaurant being closed as I still had to cancel. To make matters worse, we were woken at 1:05am by loud, repeated banging on the door, with three people attempting to get into the apartment. This was extremely unsettling and unacceptable. Overall, we were very unhappy with the experience and the email address does not appear to work either when trying to complain.
