Bequia Plantation Hotel

The location and the beautiful gardens

We paid a lot of money for the room with own pool (over £500 on) but the room was overrun with millipedes as was the pool. We had to ask for the pool to be cleaned and the room sprayed otherwise it would not have been done. The cleaners were awful. The bedding and towels were only changed once during our 7 day stay and the hotel tried to charge me for a towel because they said there was a make up stain on it. I refused to pay this cost. The patio was never cleaned at all. The room was dated and the bathroom dreadful. The restaurant service was very poor and slow. The breakfast was bad.

Breakfast was good and varied. Although it was a few days before we were offered a menu! Rooms were well appointed and clean.

When asking for pizza late in the evening staff had turned off the oven and told us they closed at 21:30. However we had been informed 22:00 was closing time. Some staff forgot that we were the customer. Only 1 umbrella around the pool. The condition of the sun beds is very poor

The hotel is very nice and I really liked their swimming pool from the garden surrounded by coconut trees

The toilet wasn't properly cleaned, and this says a lot about how the cleanliness is done. On checkout, they asked us to pay an extra government tax, which I wasn't aware of, because it did not appear on my reservation. The girl from the reception said that booking.com doesn't know about it, which was exactly THE PROBLEM. The property should notify booking.com there are some extra taxes not included in the price, so easy... The dogs should not be allowed in the restaurant.

The staff are absolutely fantastic and so friendly and will do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable

Great location to walk to places to eat and drink. 15 minutes walk to ferry port. Nice small beach with some shade.

Small rooms even with suite and small bed. Feels quite tired

Beautiful property right on the water, easy to get to town on walkway along beach, food in restaurant if fabulous, super comfy room
