Villa Serenita Weligama

We loved our stay at Villa Serenita. Located very close to the quiet part of the beach within walking distance to bars and restaurants, the rooms were spotlessly clean and as some of the rooms were empty, Satish the owner gave us a tour and let us choose the room we liked best. Accommodation is quite new and in very good condition, which may explain the low numbers of reviews, but don't let that put you off. There is tea and coffee and even a fridge in the room, and toiletries are provided. There is a large pool but we did not use it as we spent our day at the beach. Staff are kind and we got lots of helpful tips including arrangements for a driver to transfer to the airport with a stop for a few hours to visit Galle. It suited us perfectly, would stay here again and would wholeheartedly recommend!

Location was perfect, right next to a quiet part of the beach. Ideal for surfing lessons because there's hardly anyone else there compared to the other areas of weligama, while still being close to bars and restaurants. Hosts were very lovely, and always went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Will definitely stay here again when we come back

It’s the place when after the delicious breakfast you can either jump into the pool or have 2 minutes walk to the beach

The only thing but I cannot blamed owners is the construction very close to the villa creating noise but soon the construction will be finished

Close to beach. Good place to stay for surfing(you can rent board and coach). Tasty breakfast, good bar near the Villa. Good pool + clean territory of hotel. Friendly staff. All types of transfers.

The accommodation is near the sea. Breakfest was very good, we could decided what we want. Swimming pool very nice.

We were initially very skeptical since the hotel didn’t have any reviews yet. Despite that, we decided to give it a try because the price, location, and pictures seemed too good to be true. When we arrived, our expectations were not only met but exceeded! We learned that the hotel had just opened on December 1st, which explained the lack of reviews. Location: The location is unbeatable. It’s literally a one-minute walk to the beach and just a few minutes to several nearby restaurants. Rooms and Amenities: The rooms are spacious and look exactly like the pictures. They’re equipped with both air conditioning and a fan. The pool is large, clean, and perfect for relaxing. Service: The service is beyond exceptional – possibly the best we’ve ever experienced. Lahiru, the man for everything at the hotel provided everything we needed, often even without the need to ask for it. Here are a few examples: We sat down to cut a watermelon, and immediately a plate, a knife, and even help to slice it were offered. On New Year’s Day, we were given complimentary breakfast. When it started raining, he brought in our clothes that were drying outside. Lahiru, the man for everything at the place (reception/ cleaning/ helping...) was always cheerful, incredibly friendly, and attentive. He even helped us rent a scooter and organize a surf instructor. We extended our stay twice because we felt so comfortable here. Everything was just perfect, and we’ll definitely be back!
