We indeed had the view onto Timur's mausoleum, but in hindsight, that was not worth it. I was able to leave my luggage and pick them up later.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience. Not recommended. The boiler in our room was unplugged, so no hot water when we arrived exhausted in the afternoon. I plugged it in, but it wasn't working. By evening, they told us it had been sorted out. It had not. It didn't feel like they cared much. They did not try to communicate anything to us. (It was a first in Uzbekistan, where we had the most amazing experiences so far.) The bathroom ventilation also didn't work. The breakfast was extremely basic and was in the entrance with no space to sit comfortably. Tea was water; only instant coffee was available.
