Shark Island Guesthouse

The beds and bedding were comfortable and clean. the rooms were clean. the view from the upper rooms was beautiful.

The architectural design of the building is very poor....perhaps the developer did not use a proper architect, just a draftsman: the stairs going up are so confusing at the bottom, they go in three directions without any landing to turn on. So while carrying heavy bags up to the room, one almost falls while negotiating the turn up the stairway. Even the stairs going up are uneven in height and length, some are too short to comfortably place your foot on it and you have to turn your foot sideways to get solid footing. There is a 4cm stepped difference in the floor between two adjacent rooms which makes one stumble and almost fall if your not aware of it.

Great location with beautiful views and a very peaceful, quiet atmosphere.

The steps to the top floor were quite steep, with very limited landing space, which made carrying luggage rather challenging. I would not recommend the top floor for elderly guests or anyone with hip or knee problems. However, choosing a lower floor may mean compromising on the view.

Good and spacious

The bedding is old and torn, has holes in them. No water and the owner was not able to provide a second plan for water to flush toilets or communicate. We fetched water from the property next door. The other properties had water.

The host and his wife his whole te was extr8helpfull and friendly and accommodating. Such kind and friendly homely people. A special thank you for being so considerate. Bless you

Everything was good exceptional

The location of the property and most of the amnesties was in walking distance from the property and the sea view over the bay was stunning.

The last day of our stay the room service did not clean our room and provide us with fresh towels.

A lovely location.

No chairs to sit. Exceptionally small kitchenette. Woke up to no electricity and we were not informed there of and no back up generator.
