ZAZACindy was kind and helpful when needed.
When we arrived they had no record of our booking.We had to wait because there was no clean room available for us. Not self-catering as we expected it to be. As Potchefstroom is an extremely hot place, we expected aircon or fans in the rooms. There is no window in the bathroom. Broken curtain rails. The drinking of alcohol of staff and friends makes them quite noisy. Our stay at The Fortress Guest house was very unpleasant.
ZAWhen I arrived they told me sorry they are overbooked and has no space, I paid online and lost my money, I was very dissapointed and was left without place to sleep for the night

ZAStaff was friendly even if we struggled to check in at first. And the place was clean at least.
Shower door was broken, couldn't open the gate and side gates without going to staff every time, was locked in the place and could not leave freely, and there where all sorts of cables hanging from roof above shower.

Booked a one night stay as we got there they refused to take us in as they were double booked and we had to find alternative accommodation despite having a booking confirmation and paying in advance. Absolutely poor!

The fact that I paid online and when I arrived they told me they are fully booked. I have to find alternative accommodation and still need my refund.
ZAZAZAZAWell we were not made aware of the breakfast but the staff was friendly and make sure we were sorted with everything we needed. There was hot water everyday though the water was running out at times . It feels like home and we were safe so was our car .
The is one plug in the room which is bad for mixing chargers,TV plugs and having to share it when plugging the kettle to make tea/ Coffee. There is also no microwave nor bar fridge and the bathroom cupboard is way too close to the basin so brushing teeth is a challenge .
