Hotel Aurora Apartments

We really enjoyed the central city location, everything within a couple of minute’s walk from the apartment. Check-in was super easy with a door code that got us into both the building and our apartment. The apartment was bright, spacious, and clean with plenty of windows that provided great views over the city. The kitchen was fully functional and we used it to prepare some basic meals. The smart TV and Wifi both worked great, and we loved having a washing machine. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, so we had some great sleeps. Overall it was a very comfortable stay and we could have stayed there for an extended time without getting cabin fever.

The only down side to this place was the lack of the essential finishing touches. For example, there were no shampoo/conditioner and soap in the shower. There was no washing detergent for the clothes washer. There were no coffee or filters for the coffee maker in the kitchen. Most guests enjoy and come to expect these finishing touches and it just detracts from the overall experience as then one must go out a buy all these things for just a night or two. A bit disappointing, and the reason why I gave it an “8”. Otherwise it would’ve been a "10” star experience.

The property is in center location, price is right. The only issue is the website was hacked before we came. Received lots of messages from WhatsApp and emails. Clearly know my personal detailed contact information and my reservation number, almost filled out the credit card validation form.

Location and condition

The apartments had no reception at all. You had to take a Taxi to the hotel quite far way. You can only enter with a code That is provided for 4 PM exactly

We were in 1 bedroom appartement, which was very spacious and great for 2 people ( I can compare, as we were afterwards in a studio, which is rather small and does not have at all the place to put the clothes out of suitcases). The trickiest part was using the code lock, as it requires advanced knowledge on how to make it work and first to see the numbers on the lock ( need to push on the black board untill the numbers lighten up.Do not push the button, as it will enable the alarm). The apparthotel is right on the main walking street, the shuttle from airport stops nearby and several nice eateries around; four main suppermarkets very close. A washing mashine is a plus, especiallt for longer travelers and the clothes dry fast.

The code lock was not explained well, so it created problems ( i enabled alarm and blocking of the lock). Our room did not have cutleries, so had to buy some disposable forks (while there were plenty in a small appartment we got afterwards). Perhaps the cleaner should balance them out. TV has 1 or 2 channels in Eng ( CNN and one more), the rest is locals.

Really nice apartment. Modern, clean, spacious and well equipped. And in the city center. Staff were super responsive and helpful.
