Sunflower suite Trikala

Prima, ruime appartement wij verbleven met 5 personen ging goed. Er ontbreken wel wat dingen aan het appartement, maar wij verbleven voor één nacht en hadden er geen last van.

was veel geluid van de weg, er is een schuifdeur bij de kamers na het balkon, die is niet geïsoleerd, je kan daar last van krijgen. lopen veel jongeren op straat, in de ochtend veel auto’s.

The renovation is stylish.

(The building is old and not well maintained). The apartment is renovated but not totally. The most serious problem were the balconies’ door frames. They are old and they don’t lock, so the house is unprotected. The area though is quite good. We didn’t feel too insecure overall… If they change those too, it will be a very good option.

The location is good - 15 min walk from downtown. The apartment was spacious and clean and the furniture was new. Very interesting art on the walls. Across the street there was a big supermarket and right by the entrance there was a shop where you could buy takeaway traditional Trikala food - kontosouvli. Very good and tasty coffee left for us from the host!

It needs some more touches to make the apartment more cosy and comfortable - e.g. a dish drying rack, bedside lamps, some hooks for the towels in the bathroom, quilts. And clear instructions for turning on the heating of water.

The location was great for exploring Meteora and Trikala. The check in process was smooth, but I was glad we had a Greek speaker with us because the staff at OPAP didn't speak any English. The apartment is very minimal, but it was very clean.

It feels like everything in the apartment is done as cheaply as possible. There's minimal bedding, including no duvets for the comforters, and the beds are all very hard. The kitchen is bare bones with a few dishes and appliances, but no microwave, stove or any way to heat food. Extra pillows, blankets,mattress toppers and a chair or two in the bedrooms would go a long way toward making it more comfortable.
