Alpenglow Lodges Ginkei

Lovely tranquil location. Walking distance to ski resort. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Lovely owner/ staff.

Een knus chalet met gedeelde faciliteiten, waarbij gasten wel een eigen slaapkamer hebben. De gedeelde faciliteiten (en het chalet over het algemeen) waren schoon. Alle personeelsleden die we tegenkwamen waren vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De locatie is top als je op zoek bent naar een rustigere omgeving en niet perse aan de après ski wilt. Je wandelt na 5 minuten zo de piste op. In de directe omgeving vind je hier geen kroeg en ook maar een beperkt aantal restaurants. Voor een kort verblijf heb je daar echt geen last van.

Het is best gehorig. Onze kamer lag direct onder een koelkast op de tweede verdieping, die hoorden we aan gaan. Ook onze buren hoorden we praten (of snurken). Het ontbijt was inbegrepen, verwacht echter geen uitgebreid buffet.

Great team, amazing hospitality from the whole crew at Alpenglow Ginkei. Evan the owner is the best, full of advice and really knowledgeable about the area. Rooms are real cosy and some of the nicest we’ve stayed in. The food is amazing too, home style Japanese, short menu, insanely reasonably priced and super tasty. Breakfast is great too. Annupuri is more of a laid back atmosphere(something I’m gravitating towards more in my snowboarding), there’s a neat range of small bars and restaurants around with a warm atmosphere. Annupuri by far my favourite ski area on the mountain for both gate skiing and groomed runs. Thanks Evan and the team, can’t wait to book in again.

Beautiful inside, wonderful living area, tasty brekkie. Lively well priced home cooked meals. Bed were super comfy to.

Unfortunately we had a bit of trouble getting to the property with our bags in the snow, a pickup would have been amazing. But would definitely recommend this place!!!

We loved everything about Ginkei! The staff were so friendly and kind, they made us feel so comfortable, we didn’t want to leave. The breakfast was excellent and the space was super cosy, with the wood burning fire. The massage equipment was a highlight! As was the unexpected and lovely music performance we enjoyed on the Tuesday night.

Amazing location, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food.

Atmosphere was outstanding hanging out with other travelers. The dinners we had there were good but the menu is limited. Breakfast was plentiful and filling if a bit repetitive. The shared bathrooms were clean. Laundry facilities were a huge bonus.

We had the smallest room in the place and it was quite small. For the price compared to other places nearby it was still a great value.
