"Great location, but property wasn‘t clean and host wasn‘t helpful at all."

The location was great. Close to the center and to relevant subway lines for sightseeing as well as walking distance to Nishiki Market, Imperial Palace and Nijo-Jo Castle.

The property wasn‘t cleaned (properly). Dust and dirt across all rooms, dirty towels left in the washing machine, a pillow with red stains (blood?) in the wardrobe, hair in the toilet and mold in the bathtub. Communication with the host was bad as well. Rarely received answers, at some point none. Answers didn‘t follow up on all questions. Agreed date for trash recycling was ignored.
