Candlewood Suites Pecos by IHG

It was clean and the room was nice.

It didn’t have a breakfast bar or a good snack machine.

They were not serving breakfast. It seemed that the property was undergoing renovation. The lobby smelled weird; of paint and something else. The room was fine.

No breakfast.

The room was spacious. It was very clean I'm disabled, so this is a constructive evaluation if you are disabled. The entry had double doors. The push b button wasn't working, and the door was extremely heavy. The entrance was clean, though.

The heaviness of the doors. Not automated. The lock to our suite was broken. The gels in the shower/ tub were far too high. The was flat on the wall. It needed to tilt slightly to be used by a person with a mobility disability. Tile entry was broken. There was a tub of construction stuff blocked one of the entry doors. They only had one luggage rack. No food pantry was empty, not as advertised.

Everything was clean and staff was amazing

Clean and getting updated since IHG just took it over recently. Fragrance smelled really nice in the hallways. Basic but had a fridge, microwave, and small counter and sink. Maybe the hotel just wasn't full but it was pleasantly very quiet. A very delicious Italian restaurant in town that the front desk recommended!

Bed frame was clunking with every small shift. The room could use a small nightstand or shelf for the other side. There was a bit of a sulfur smell in the room, I am only guessing it may have been from the industry activities in the area. I expect everything will be great once the remodel is complete.

Hotel is being converted to a candlewood suites. No breakfast. No coffee in the room lead to coffee being unavailable in lobby. No dishes or silverware. Gym was closed for construction.

It smelled amazing as soon as you walk in! Even if it was “under repair” the stay was great . Staff was very nice and helpful! Very easy to check in / out . The room was great it was very big for two people !
