Kalkbay Harbour Retreat

We booked this accommodation because it was close to a wedding in Fish Hoek .Facilities were great ...clean linen and warm showers and layout of apartment was good, with a lovely sunny front courtyard . Also liked that there was onsight parking. Check in and out was done easily

Trains were very loud but last one not too late and it actually added to the ambience of being so close to the harbour ..We cooked breakfast the Saturday morning and made toast , and the toaster , because the inside filament was worn and broken caught alight...very dangerous 😳 Suggest that gets replaced .Also thought there was a coffee maker but turns out it was just a kettle. Also suggest you inform guests to bring their own grid if they would like to use the barbecue .Otherwise can't think of anything else

Location is excellent, with convenient access to great restaurants, beaches and shops. Furniture and finishes are modern and rooms are well laid out.

Location is great, with easy access private parking which is very convenient in Kalkbay area. It's a short walk to all the nice eateries, as well as the beaches at st James. The space itself is modern and spaceous. We will definitely come back here, great value for money.

It would have been nice to have the solar system working, but luckily the loadshedding wasn't bad during our stay. Also, you are right in-between a railway and a busy road, although it wasn't too disturbing to us, it is something to be aware of. We did sleep very well because the house has good security and is comfortable.

On our last night the place was flooding one of the bedrooms were leaking as well as the dining area and the lounge…the bed was wet and the kids had to sleep on the floor in the cold because we were told not to use the fire place
