Sigiriya Woodland Cabana

Host provided tukutuk transportation from and to Dambulla. Also organized elephant tour with jeep and one free homely dinner (which actually was not agreed). There were frogs in bathroom, but it is not bad thing as location is in nature. Place is bit far from center but if one is fit enough then walking is not problem (though in evening one may be bit more careful as locals said that wild elephants may cross the roads).

The room and private bathroom were really clean. And the garden wich surrounds the house is really beautiful and relaxing. Breakfast is included and traditional Sri Lankan food. Namal is a friendly host.

Breakfast was served at 7 AM without and option to choose a different time. Starting from 9.30AM we were asked when we are planning to leave as new guests will arrive, altough was the check out time was 11AM. All together we felt rushed to leave the appartement.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was a beautiful location, great facilities. The host was so nice and took care of everything for us. He was very helpful, made sure we were always comfortable, and was very welcoming. He drove us places, made food, showed us around.

The location is remote, but easily accessible by Tuktuk. We actually really enjoyed the quiet environment!

The structure is very clean and recently opened, there is the mosquito net on the bed and the Wi-Fi. The owner Namal is a very good person, he organised a tuk tuk tour for us from Sigiryia to Dambulla and to Polonnaruwa at a cheap price. In the evening his mother prepared an excellent dinner for us.

As it was located near Sigiriya city, it was easy to walk to Sigiriya. The owner of the house is a very friendly and good person. Very good place I recommend for stay for you coming to Sigiriya
