My husband did comment on the tree at the front. Sadly the birds left their mark on his car which was being used for wedding transport after it had been cleaned ready for use. I know it is difficult with nature but, he had to get it cleaned quickly before the event. Perhaps an outside tap could be positioned for future use. But overall the property was perfect. Thank you

"The Barrett Family"

10.0

Everything. The directions were spot on. The cottage is beautiful inside and out. All you need is supplied. And the welcome box is a lovely touch. If your interested in the canal the marina is a short stroll and the walk along the canal is lovely.

Nothing. All great

"Hosts have thought of everything to make stay as enjoyable as possible, just the beds need upgrading"

8.0

Comfortable, stylish cottage. Quiet location, hosts very attentive & thoughtful.

Beds need upgrading, poor quality & uncomfortable, really let down rest of property.

"Wonderful cottage!"

10.0

A warm, clean, comfortable and spacious cottage with all the 'home from home' facilities one likes to expect (plus nice touches like the fire in the living room being on when we arrived on a chilly, late November afternoon). Quiet, too – no obvious traffic or other external noise (albeit being -3°C outside we didn't have any windows open). And an excellent location too – while November is hopeless for historic houses and gardens being open, there are plenty of other places to visit: if antique shops are your thing, there are two good ones in Weedon Bec (seven miles or so), churches aplenty (including the Butterfield church in Braunston) and no shortage of towns / cities to enjoy – Daventry, Warwick, Rugby, Leamington and Coventry. Pubs? We had evening meals at the Admiral Nelson in Brunston and The Plough in Everdon – both very good. Shout out, too, for Granny's in Weedon for café style lunch. Ditto good lunches at the Coach and Horses in Brixworth and the café in the Herbert Art Gallery in Coventry.

We opted to sleep in the 'second bedroom' as the bed was (or looked to be) king sized vs a double bed in the 'first' bedroom. The mattress, though, noticeably dips in the middle; the clear glass panelling in the on-suite door could also do with replacing with either opaque glass or wood to heighten a feeling of privacy.

This was a perfect location to stay for our team working away, especially after a long day. The welcome basket was a nice surprise and went down great. The setting was nice and had local amenities that catered for nay requirements!
