BaiSeri (the lady running the longhouse) was so sweet and caring, made me 3 delicious meals every day. Was special to be in an authentic longhouse with so much history. An easy 900m walk from the airport. Bario was quiet and peaceful and a great stop away from the heat of the jungles. Cute cats to keep me company. Great library of books.
Well, the place could do with a good spring clean, but that did not really bother me.

This is an excellent long house experience. You will be made to feel part of the family. There are three meals a day included and you will hear many stories of the history of Bario From David. The balconies is a great place to sit and relax.

Thank you for a lovely stay in Bario the guesthouse was so comfortable, I loved the delicious home cooking and sitting with a cup of tea on the verandah! Uncle David will keep you entertained with lots of stories and jokes it was a very rich experience hopefully I can return one day!
Nothing to do with Labang longhouse but just to be aware on arrival at Bario airport a lady called Joy offered me a lift (it's only a 10-15 minute walk and I said I could walk but she insisted) then charged me 20 RM for the 3 minute journey which I wasn't expecting!
