Cathedral House Orvieto

This charming one-bedroom apartment in the heart of Orvieto is the perfect base for exploring the city. The location could not be better — Tucked away on a small street just steps from the Duomo, wonderful restaurants, cozy wine bars, and great shopping. The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable, with a large living area and well-equipped kitchen that made it easy to relax and feel at home. The shower is great, which can always be a challenge in these apartments in ancient buildings. Everything was clean and well maintained. Getting the key was easy. Francesca met us at the bus stop by the Duomo and brought us up to this lovely apartment. One of the highlights is the incredible view of the Duomo on one side and Torre del Moro on the other. Waking up to those iconic views and being able to walk everywhere made our time in Orvieto unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the charm, history, and atmosphere of this beautiful town.

There are a lot of stairs, so beware if you have mobility issues. The apartment is on the top floor, so it stands to reason that there is quite a climb. Despite offering a washing machine there is no drying rack. I have seen quite a number of reviews mention this. You would think they would provide one.

Just off the main square, it was cool to be in bed and look at the top of the Cathedral. The location couldn't be better, and the apartment was fully equipped for meals with the supermarket about 2 blocks away.

We liked everything about our stay. What can be more magical than seeing the moon and stars rising above the amazing cathedral from your bedroom? The hosts thought about everything. There is even a bottle of Orvieto waiting for guests in the fridge. The location is perfect, just off the main cathedral square with easy walking to restaurants and shops. The apartment itself is quiet. There is parking close by. Costs about 15 Euro a day. Totally worth it.

There was nothing we did not like. However, there is a washing machine in the apartment (yay!) but we could not find a drying rack. For those with mobility challenges: there are two steep flights of stairs up to the apartment (hence that incredible view).

Accoglienza e contesto oltre le aspettative. La casa si trova nel cuore di Orvieto, in una posizione a dir poco perfetta per tutto ciò che riguarda logistica (il parcheggio è a due passi) e la vicinanza alle principali attrazioni della città. Incantevole la vista che spazia tra i tetti e il Duomo di Orvieto.
