USThe location, approximately 45 minutes northeast of Reykjavik, is stunning and atmospheric. The natural beauty of the property is unmatched and worth the price compared to a chain hotel in the capital city. Very close to the Golden Circle — only 40 minutes to Thingvellir National Park. The house, well suited for our two families (4 adults, 5 children from age 6 to 11), was convenient and comfortable. The house and property were the highlights of our vacation!
USUSIncredible place. The scenery, views, and houses are beyond words. It was a wonderful, restorative spot to enjoy a book and explore nature. Perfect break from a busy driving trip!
There are minimal food options in the cafe, we had a bit of trouble reaching someone to let us in, and the staff at the springs aren't super familiar with the houses so there was some confusion with small things like ordering a breakfast basket. We were not able to lock any of the house doors.

Maybe hide the construction equipment so we can’t see it? But I’m nitpicking bc it’s ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS and I wish we could have stayed longer!

GBObviously the location and spa is the main draw here, it's amazing. The restaurant was fine, not a huge menu but we self catered for most of our meals. The house we stayed in (The Clubhouse) was nice, fitting 4 adults and 1 child very comfortably.
A few more utensils in the kitchen and maybe some extra standard stuff like salt and sugar etc (we got some from the restaurant bit, who were lovely). The downstairs was lovely and decorated very well. The upstairs was fine but felt a little like it wasn't quite the same standard as downstairs, maybe thinking it would just be kids staying there.

CASpectacular view, well equipped kitchen, quiet, and wonderful spa experience. We completed the Glymur waterfall hike and returned to a relaxing spa and dinner.
Everything was perfect, except the weather, but you can't do anything about that!
