Ornus Traditional House

Τέλεια τοποθεσία με απόλυτη ηρεμία. Ότι πρέπει για κάποιον που θέλει να χαλαρώσει. Πολύ καθαρά και στο σπίτι υπήρχαν τα πάντα όσα χρειάζεται.

Ήταν όλα υπέροχα.

Ornus house ligt aan de rand van het dorpje Orne. Een prachtige rustige plek met mooi uitzicht vanaf het beschutte terras en uit de ramen. De dikke muren, de houten vloer en de inrichting ademen een traditonele sfeer, het huis is comfortabel verbouwd met respect voor het oude. Mooi uitgangspunt voor wandelingen (bijvoorbeeld naar een laat Minoiische citadel op de heuvel erachter) Of voor autotripjes naar de Zuidkust. Buiten-pizza-oven en binnenhaard. Heerlijke warme douche. Met een kleine auto en wat stuurmanskunst kun je bij het huis parkeren, anders op het pleintje erachter. De host helpt je graag met je vragen.

Voor ons, rustzoekers en natuur liefhebbers ideaal.

Für Ruhesuchende ideal. Abgelegenes, gut ausgestattetes Haus mit toller Aussicht. Freundlicher Vermieter steht bei Bedarf telefonisch sofort zur Verfügung. Sehr empfehlenswert!

L’isolement total, pour un tranquillité assurée. Une climatisation gros débit rafraîchissant rapidement la maison. L’accueil à distance via la boîte à clefs

At first, privacy is very important to me and my wife. So this place has 120 (ore more) percent in this aspect. However, you need car to reach it (in Crete without car is very difficult to have good vacations). You can reach it by asphalted way, but you need drive carefully. Nearest best beach is Ligres beach (Galini beach is not so good, but in Galini village are a lot of tavernas). Secondly, this house is in the mountain. So, there is very good pure atmosphere. Yes, there is windy. Thirdly, house has all amenities, except drinking water. Wifi is very fast, good hot water system, good air condintioning (heating) system. Fourthly, master is very attentive and unobtrusive (this is related to the first point (privacy)).

Weather was a little bit too cold, but is an act of our Creator.

A very authentic place in a small mountain village surrounded by olive groves. Excellent possibilities for endurance running around the village in bucolic settings, great view from the property over the mountain. Easy access from the main highway by a small (but asphalted) mountain road (where you often meet herds of sheep at night).

I have nothing negative to say about the property. The village has no sorting of the garbage, which was a bit uncomfortable for somebody coming from Scandinavia. However, about 10-15 min drive away from Orne there was a possibility to deposit plastic trash (in the village of Akoumia).
