Beautiful 200 year refurnished catholic convent. Used to be a Spanish style Cortijo “Farm Palace”, Majestic views of sourounding volcanos, exquisite open grounds. Best hosting ever! Received communication and stay planning 5 days before coming. I arrived early and this was no issue. Peaceful and quiet. Not intended for clients searching for amenities. For the time being , the restaurant is located in neiboring “La Antigua” town center. But transportation is provided and efficient, which also serves as an efficient way to come and go to neinoring “La Antigua” and stay away from the hustle of city center. Restaurant should be rated 5 stars since it offers absolutely exquisite menu holding local ingredients and surprisingly good cuisine. I can’t be more impressed with what Could be referred as authentic Guatemalan experience along with excellent dinning. Highly recommended for couples with romantic interest. Or just for relaxation. And bring your cameras, you will be needing it.

LISTEN! If you want a magical peaceful beautiful stay then this is your sign. Very aesthetic and beautiful. The staff was amazing and treated me very good. They always helped me out with anything I needed and made my stay the best experience ever. My room had a tiny leakage at first and they gave me a different room which was better & had amazing view. My room didn’t have AC but it was fine because I don’t like the cold lol. They also helped with my birthday cake and much more. This place felt so magical :) <3 muchas gracias por todo y a todos los que trabajan aquí. Que dios los bendiga.

It´s not in the center of Antigua, need to drive a little bit

El Hotel Mestizo Cortijo está a las afueras de la Antigua. El lugar es bastante tranquilo y amplio. Apenas los van armando, por lo que faltan varias cosas que harían más cómoda la estadía: 1. El restaurante y el Spa no existen todavía; te llevan al Hotel del Centro de la Antigua pero eso es algo que toma tiempo, solo ciertos horarios, incomodo y el trafico lo hace menos agradable (no lo indican antes de hacer la reserva). 2. Falta iluminación en la habitación. 3. Falta basurero en la habitación, solo está el del baño. 4. Falta espejo en la habitación. 5. Faltan serchas para colgar ropa seca. 6. Falta donde colgar la ropa y toallas húmedas o mojadas. 7. La piscina es muy fría y no tiene calefacción. 8. Almohadas mas firmes y no solo muy suaves. Sin embargo, también hay cosas buenas: 1. Camas cómodas. 2. Jabones buenos. 3. Buen internet (WIFI). 4. Aire acondicionado. El personal es muy amable y creo que hacen lo posible por brindar un excelente servicio. Precio - Calidad está bien, una vez tengan todo en el sitio.
