GBBooked with Jeremiah, caravan 0030 The Saltings. Beautiful caravan, 3 bedrooms, living room/kitchen, 2 toilets, one of those with shower etc. Spotlessly clean and had everything you needed. We booked as we was attending a wedding at East Mersea Hall and this was perfectly situated.
Grass areas were very muddy but that is to be expected at this time of year.

I was confused by some of the properties descriptions including the property having a sea view . You could barely call it a sea view . Could only find a single wine glass . Most disappointing was could not find a hair dryer ! Not good when going to work! Nowhere open on site to get even a coffee .

There was a little bit of mud around the caravan, I know it can't be helped. Quite a few rules and extra costs for different check out check in times

Quite a lot of kids/teenagers on site running around and being quite loud outside the van, this can't be helped I suppose due to time of year.
GBGBThe property is reasonably equipped, although fairly basic, a nice seating area and the ability to open up sliding doors at the front (but you could fall out if you weren't careful).
I arrived in very hot weather, it was almost impossible to cool down the property, despite closing the curtains to keep the sun out and opening all the windows, including the big sliding doors. There needs to be a couple of room fans to create some air movement for days like this. There also needs to be instructions for appliances, the microwave was a complete mystery. The bathroom/toilet was ludicrously hot. The TV cannot be used to watch a few conventional channels, I can't understand how to use Netflix and the internet connection is hopeless, so I couldn't use wifi radio. After 4 hours I had to give it up and drive home, I felt ill because of the heat and just couldn't imagine trying to sleep all night in these conditions feeling like I was being cooked, it would probably be nice there in the winter. The outside of the van is unpleasant - quite a few of the static vans don't seem to have a surround around the base area, you can see all the bits that you would rather not see, including toilet soil pipes etc, not attractive! The owner's communication is poor, its hard to get information then you will get a series of short messages, quite often repeating a lot of information but with a snippet of something different in each of them. It made it really hard work to find out about where I was going. I had to contact the park themselves to find out the location properly. Where is the welcome pack with information about the property, doctors numbers, information about local places etc??
