Alexandros Luxury House

Das Haus war für uns perfekt, da wir mit Hund reisen und der Garten komplett eingezäunt ist, so dass der Hund sich frei in dem riesigen Grundstück aufhalten kann. Der Garten mit den Feigenbäumen, dem Johannisbrotbaum, den Aloeverapflanzen und den blühenden Sträuchern und Büschen ist traumhaft! Die Innenausstattung ist geschmackvoll, modern und auf höchstem Standard (Regendusche, Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine). Die Vermieter haben an alles gedacht und kleine Vorräte von allen notwendigen Alltagsgegenständen vorrätig. Am allerbesten war der Besuch des Großvaters Alexander, der uns frisch zubereitetes, warmes Mittagessen gebracht hat. Überaus gastfreundlich diese Geste. Zu Beginn war der Kühlschrank reich gefüllt und eine Tüte mit Obst zur Begrüßung am Eingang. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Die Vermieter haben uns super Tipps für Tavernen gegeben. Zur Erkundung des Westens von Kreta perfekt!

Uns hat alles gefallen weil wir auch die Abgeschiedenheit lieben. Eventuell könnten sich manche an der Lage inmitten der Gemüse- und Obstgewächshäuser stören. Für uns war es eine willkommene Ruheoase. Man braucht auf alle Fälle ein Auto.

Everything! The house was fully equipped. Very tranquil place.

We really liked this property. The house was brand new, clean, and very comfortable. It is located among olive tree plantations, with the sea and Alikia Family Tavern just a 5-minute walk away, where we enjoyed eating. The property offers absolute silence and peace of mind. The kitchen was well-equipped with appliances such as a coffee machine, toaster, grill, and dishwasher. The fridge was stocked with food, which we couldn't finish. The bathroom was also well-stocked with more than just the standard items like soap and shampoo; it included body lotion, facial care products, shaving cream, and more. The yard is well-maintained, featuring a grill area, a lovely garden, and a fig tree with edible fruit. And of course, the host, Alexandros, was incredibly kind. He visited us and brought homemade local dishes—moussaka and lemon pie. Long story short, this house is an excellent choice for a long stay, whether for a group or a family with children.

The property is absolutely stunning! So tastefully done up with high quality touches! You couldn’t ask for anything more! The owners are amazing so generous and kind! We stayed there for the week of our local wedding and they decorated the house upon our arrival and left us wedding cakes, champagne, perlini and flowers everywhere!!! So special! Plus a fridge full of food 🥰 during the week they even brought us stuffed vegetables and Alexander himself brought us delicious cucumbers cut straight from his field.

Nothing it’s perfect!

We have been spending our summers in Crete for the last 6 years and have seen the island from all sides. We have experienced many different types of accommodation and are familiar with Greek hospitality from many previous experiences. But what we experienced at Alexandros took our perception of familiar hospitality to a new level. All our expectations were exceeded. From the warm welcome, to the many delicacies we enjoyed during our time at Alexandros, to the well equipped house where nothing was missing, to the excellent location, 5 minutes drive from Falarsana beach. The modern bathrooms, the fully equipped kitchen including a portafilter espresso machine, the smart TV, the beautiful rooms, the furniture, etc. made us feel at home. In fact, we felt that we had taken our home with us on holiday and could simply continue to live in Crete. In addition, the hosts were always available via WhatsApp and did everything they could to make our stay a great experience that we will definitely remember! We're looking forward to seeing you again next year! Thank you very much for everything!

The only downside I can see here is that all following accommodations now have to face this comparison, which makes it very difficult for them.

Quiet place, great house and facilities, tranquilty and of course hosts of the house, who welcomed us, and several times brought us mousaka and fruits.

The host family were incredibly hospitable and welcoming. They ensured that the kitchen was fully stocked with local Cretan goods and even delivered Giouvetsi for dinner for us one night. All in all a wonderful stay in a cute little house.

The location is really the only downside, where you are a little away from the beach and away from everyone, although we saw that as a positive.

The hospitality of the owners was amazing. Incredibly generous and thoughtful. They provided us with vegetables from their garden, cooked us local delicacies and gave us fresh eggs! A bottle of wine and the local drink welcomed us, along with snacks a plenty. They were just so kind and welcoming!

When you first arrive, perhaps the surroundings are a little disappointing. The house is beautiful but on the small side. It is located in the middle of a working farm area, surrounded by tented/covered green houses where vegetables are grown. So aesthetically it is not a (visually) soft surrounding. The beach is 300 meters or so down a road - but not really in eye sight. The beach itself is rocky and shoes are needed to navigate getting in and out of the water. However, once you make peace with those aspects, you realise just how lucky you are to be there. It is so so quiet. The beach is practically yours alone, in sharp contrast with the crowded beaches elsewhere and nearby (at least at high season). There is a small open air tavern at one end of the local beach, serving excellent food and wine. A five minute walk there and you can sit with a glass of fine wine to watch the most beautiful sunset. The tranquility, ease of access to the beach, lack of touristic development - all of it is so wonderful, if that is what you like. And we liked it very much indeed!
