The Apartment Agrigento

Great location. The host was easily reachable and helpful.

The location was convenient- there was a free parking nearby and the main street was close, but there were some dilapidated buildings and streets behind the apartment around which you should go in order to reach the main street. The rooms had AC and plenty of water, which is а scarcity in this region. The rooms were quite clean and comfortable.

The AC units in two of the rooms were directly above the bed, which prevented us from using them comfortably while sleeping, and the remote for one of the AC units was not working, we had to share the remote with the other room.

The room has a nice style, size is enough, bed very confortable. We spent 2 nights, arrived by car, which we either parked at the paring near by, but that is often busy, so we parked in one of the nearby side streets without any issue. The air-condition worked well and the room is well insulated from noise. Kamilia, the owner, was very helpful and explained everything about the room and parking via chat and gave advise on restaurants, bakeries, nightlife in Agrigento. The bakery at the corner is very good, we bought our cornetto with pistachio always there.

I did not mind but some might that there are many empty buildings around and in poor condition. This was our first 2 days in Sicily starting in Agrigento and learned it was common in the island, unfortunately. We walked in the small streets in as we like to know how people live, this part of the town seems poorer but still safe during the day. In the evenings we took Via Empedocle to go to the main street Via Atenea which is about in 7 minutes walking distance from the room.

Comfortable bed, with water and breakfast snacks provided. Close to the main street, and free parking was easily available nearby.

Apartment was smaller and more basic than expected. Host was unresponsive to request of a firmer pillow.

Useful info given by host. Room was clean and placed close to the centre of town. Room included some cold water and other pleasantries for breakfast or as a snack. Self check in was fast and easy.

The apartment was very clean, close to the center. It had coffee machine, cookies, toiletries, a small freedge. If you don't mind the view it's ok. The communication was good, it's a self-check in place, it was ok for us.

The view was awful, it stated it had a sea view and unless you are 1.80mt tall you won't be able to see it. That was a big disappointment opening the window and had that awful view. We appreciate the offer of a refund but it was late in the evening to search for another place and move, it took too long to find a place to park the car. Please, do not lie to the guest. If it wasn't because of this point you have a good place to stay.
