Valletta Dome Apartment

Great location in the historic part of Valetta, close to the main promenade, 3 minutes walk to St. Elmo Fort, 5 minutes walk to St. George Square, 15 minutes walk to the bus station. The street where the apartment is located is quiet and peaceful. The apartment was clean, the beds comfortable. Collection of keys convenient from the locker. Nicely furnished apartment on the first floor in a quiet building.

Minor points. Our stay was in December and the apartment was a bit chilly. Lack of heating is a standard in Maltese houses. Fortunately, the hosts provide extra blankets. Air conditioning with a heating option also helps a bit. The kitchen facilities could be a bit better. We had one dishwasher tablet, there was dishwashing liquid, but no sponge or cloth. In addition to a large pan and a large pot, a few smaller ones would have been useful.

The location is perfect. It was a quiet street, 5 min walking distance away from St. George’s Square. There were restaurants and other food outlets nearby, which made it extremely easy to take food to go. The Valletta Food Market is also about 5 min away, which is awesome for people who travel late, because the food supermarket there is open until 10PM. All in all, a great choice for families or friends travelling together, as well as an excellent value for money.

There was no microwave. As people, who like to eat indoors, a microwave would have made the heating of milk and other food much more convenient.

Bright apartment on the first floor with natural light. Well equipped kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine in the facility. Good shower with adequate pressure, efficient A/C, comfortable bed and separate lounge/kitchen area. Walking distance to the centre of Valletta, supermarket nearby, close to St Elmo Fort and restaurants nearby. Responsive host and easy check in instructions. Host was able to facilitate early check in which was appreciated.

Although the bed was comfortable it was a tight squeeze in the room.

Plus points > Location was excellent for exploring Valletta > Clear instructions for everything, did not need to bother our hosts > Apartment has everything you might need for a short stay, larger than we expected from the photos

> The floor could have been cleaner, but the host responded to this well when we mentioned it and offered to send someone to remedy the situation immediately. The towels also shed a lot.
