Super cozy, great location, strong water pressure in the shower

Clean and spacious

The value for room size was excellent with both traditional beds and a tatami mat room section. The location near the Gion-Shiojo Subway Station puts most of the city at your disposal. 10min walk or less to the hear of the Gion district.

Only one thing to dislike: no elevator. It may not be that big a deal for you, and it's normally not for me either....however, I was on the 3rd floor (the highest floor) and the staircase is steep and narrow, so luggage can be a bit of an effort up and down.

The location was perfect. In a quiet spot but a short distance to sights in Kyoto, restaurants, train stations and a 7/11. The rooms was perfect for the two of us. The kitchen consisted of a microwave, bar fridge, kettle and hot plate for simple cooking. The shelf in the room was also great for storing our luggage

There could have been more cutlery.

Gion is always a busy area with shops and restaurants. The location and facilities at the Rinn Hostel Miyagawacho location were very convenient.

No elevator access to the third floor.

The location is very strategic as you can walk to Nishiki Market and Yasaka Pagoda. It is also located very near metro station. The decoration of the room is so nice. We got a big room as we were staying as a family of 3 so the there is room with tatami mat. The best thing is the smart bidet in the toilet. The workers are all so nice and friendly, they gladly kept our luggage before check in and after the check out

If you bring heavy luggage you may struggle going up the narrow staircase. When we tried to use the dryer, there was many dust collected in our laundry so I think it has been a long time since the last time they clean the dryer.
