Anmol is a lovely host, he has been super helpful with all kind of enquires! The rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast is incredible. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

The room was clean

The first day was disappointing. No breakfast was served, and the host offered no assistance. This was my first unpleasant stay in Varkala.

The stay is vey cozy and rooms are neat and clean. It is at walkable distance from Varkala beach.Got covered parking for the car. The host, Anmol, gave good recommendations about the places to visit. Overall a great stay in Varkala.

Shamak Homestay is a really great place to stay in Varkala. Only a 15 minute walk away from the North Cliff and 20 minutes from the Black Beach in a peaceful and quiet location. The host Anmol and his staff are very friendly and helpful people who always try to fulfill their guest's wishes. In addition to that they have a very cute and friendly but also laid back dog who loves some good scratches and belly rubs. The tasty breakfast items change daily so that you don't get bored with the breakfast as well. You can easily spend your whole day at this homestay since there are also games and yoga mats available. Highly recommend place!

Some appliances need fixing. Mattresses are a bit hard. Breakfast could be a bit bigger. No electricity backup.

This property is in a prime location and very clean with a decent budget. It was really peaceful without any outside noises. wakable distance to the beach. Host was friendly and they provided tasty breakfast. Host also helped us to hire a vehicle which was delivered to the property. full property is decorated with handmade art and lovely painting. Will stay here when I visit Varkala again.

My friend and I stayed at shamak homestay during our visit to Varkala for 3 days. It was truly a great experience! The host anmol was extremely hospitable. He also made some delicious breakfast for us everyday of our stay. The rooms were extremely clean and we'll kept. The bathrooms also were very clean and they even had some seperate facilities incase you needed hot water. It had a very homely feel and the host was very accommodative as well! I also feel the place is extremely affordable and about 10 mim walk away from the north cliff. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend this stay to friends and family!

Great location, calm atmosphere, 10 mnts walk to beach, responsive host (Anmol) and definately thumbs up for the breakfast with a cup of coffee Anmol is a good host who understands the requirements & does the needful in most appropriate manner

Anmol is a very friendly and responsive host, the location is great, the place has some great elements like games and yoga mats available, food is great, and environment is very pleasant and welcoming

The only complaint would be that the fan is quite loud and it can be very hot even at night, and we unfortunately did not book an AC room
