NinhBinh Buffalo Hostel

Pros: This place is fantastic! Their front lobby is large and welcoming - you feel like you've stepped into a premium hotel. The staff are so attentive and respectful - offering to help carry luggage. Love that there are elevators in the building. I had a 4-bed mixed dorm room which was spacious with en-suite bathroom. It truly felt like I was at a hotel, not a hostel. Shower heads were the over-head rain-fall type, they provide bath soap, the bathroom is modern and so clean. Breakfast each morning was top tier! Best I had in my whole time in Vietnam from any hostel. They allow you to choose how you want your eggs cooked, they have lots of choices + fruit and condiments etc. Location is quite good - its about 100m walk to get to the main road, but an easy one and close to Chookies Beer Garden (a must to try and perfect for me because I was working remotely while travelling). I never tried the pool or lounged there - as a 45 year old solo female travelling I did feel that area was occupied mostly with the younger crowd, but it didn't bother me much. The facilities/bar/pool are lively, loud and quite the place to be between dinner and 11pm! I learned about this hostel having other locations - wish I knew that sooner in Vietnam because they provide a discount when you stay at multiple properties!

Cons: Not much. It is LOUD in the main lobby/bar/pool area most days because they offer free beer from 5-7pm - but as soon as 11pm comes, it literally its silent. I read reviews that this happens, but its truly does!

The hostel was super clean and the beds were comfy. Although it is a party hostel the music shut off at 11pm and guests cleared from the common area to allow other guests to sleep if they were already in bed. Breakfast was also really nice and the food was that they serve from the menu looks and tasted great at a really affordable price.

Crazy good party hostel (private room) also good vibes and nice initiative of things to do. Very easy rental scooter all in all a very very positive experience kudos to the staff

Early party closing at 11 which is fine but yeah

It's modern. Everything is new. It's clean and the staff is amazing and very friendly! There is a shower in the toilets in common areas which is good if you're checking out early
