For those who enjoy a good challenge, this apartment surely provides the perfect opportunity to test your patience.

We traveled from Switzerland, excited to spend 12 days of our Christmas holiday at this apartment. Unfortunately, after just one night(!), we decided to leave—that’s how bad this place is. The apartment offers no view—every window faces a neighboring building. The living room is on the ground floor, so anyone walking by can see directly inside, leaving no privacy when sitting in the living room or using the kitchen. Security is a major concern, with minimal door locks that make the apartment feel unsafe. Furthermore, the building is poorly insulated, meaning we could hear noise from adjacent flats, disturbing our sleep and waking us up early in the morning. The biggest issue, however, is the hot water system. The bathroom relies on a small 80-liter electric water tank, which runs out of hot water after filling about a third of the bathtub or allowing a brief shower. It takes hours to reheat, making the apartment unsuitable for any comfortable stay. We reported the hot water problems immediately but the hosts were unable to resolve them, leaving us no other option but to leave. They promised to respond regarding a refund within an hour after our departure. Instead, they ignored us for 8 days and eventually refused any refund, insisting we pay for all 12 nights. When we learned we were still paying for the apartment, we requested to reenter it within the final 3 days to document the hot water issue. The hosts then denied us access, likely because they didn’t want us to gather evidence to support a refund—or perhaps they had someone else staying there. Either way, they tried to force us to pay for an apartment that they at the same time denied us access to, which is simply absurd and highlights how unprofessional they are. This apartment is deeply flawed—no privacy, poor security, disturbing noise, and inadequate hot water. The hosts were unprofessional and unresponsive throughout. We strongly urge others to avoid this property and not make the same mistake we did.
