I dont blame the owner, UNLESS he is the one who cleans the house himself. I was SHOCKED when i saw the state of the beds. I can guarantee the bedsheets were not changed. It even has hairs on the pillows and sheets. The stains on the bedsheets and pillows were indescribable. I understand this is not a 5 star hotel but BASIC cleanliness has to be there. The dust on the beds were also insane. My helpers had to whack the beds and you could literally see all the dust saturating the room. The worst part of the house? The fridge. Google Jeffrey Dahmer, the serial killer who kills and chops up his victims and store them in the fridge. I am absolutely sure that was jeffrey's fridge. It was so filthy AGAIN my helpers had to use wet wipes to clean the entire fride and freezer up before we dared to put anything in. Guess what? we booked for two nights but left on the second night after island hopping to stay in JB Doubletree Hilton. My entire family had enough of tolerating the unkept premise. Its pretty sad actually, because if the house was kept cleaner, this really COULD be one of the better place to stay in Mersing. Owner was responsive to messages and to link up with boat operators for island hopping though.
