Heerlijke plek om te verblijven. Lekker zwembad. Prima kamer met heerlijke bedden. Maar het meest vermeldenswaardig was toch het personeel. Ze hebben ons perfect geholpen om onze bagage vast op te halen op het vliegveld terwijl wij nog op Sumatra zaten. Verder hebben ze een scooter geregeld en helpen ze je bij alles wat je nodig hebt. Wij hebben een perfecte tijd gehad.

's ochtends rond 4 uur begint de moskee in de buurt met hun gebed. Helaas hoor je dat wel in de kamer.

Het fijne aan de Homestay is dat de mensen ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam zijn. Het ontbijt kan weliswaar niet zelf samengesteld worden maar is iedere dag verschillend en lekker. Het heeft een heerlijk zwembad en er zijn ligbedden aanwezig in de prachtige tuin. Het is kleinschalig en dat maakt het een mooie plek om te verblijven. Zelfs als je een dagje in de homestay wilt blijven is dit heel prettig. De gerechten op de kaart van het avondmenu zijn gevarieerd en smaakvol en worden "op bestelling" bereid waardoor verspilling wordt tegengegaan. De 2 aanwezige honden waren een leuke bijkomstigheid.

Wij hadden de familie-kamer die ligt boven aan de weg. Het geluid van de moskee aan de overkant tijdens, vooral, het eerste gebed (04:30h lokale tijd), is zeer goed hoorbaar.

We spent 4 nights in this homestay and we really liked the inside garden and swimming pool. It’s a beautiful oasis of tropical plants well maintained Location: it’s located in a small village outside Yogyakarta, which is very nice if you are looking for a peaceful location, less handy if you need to go to the city every day (around 20 to 40 minutes depending on the place). The staff was friendly, helpful and always available. Facilities: Breakfast was great, but you cannot choose. Every day there is a fixed option already chosen for you. We recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet place outside the city! P.s. the dogs are lovely!

The water pressure of our shower was terrible, you could barely use it, and it takes quite some time before the water gets hot.

We loved Astuti Gallery homestay so much that we extended our stay twice! What a serene oasis of calm - with a wonderful, welcoming owner and staff who went out of their way to care for us and ensure we had the best experience. Comfortable, clean, spacious, stylish, art filled rooms, fast WiFi, a pool for swims beneath the frangipani trees - and Bu Wulan's delicious home-cooked meals: it really is a gem of a homestay. Every detail has been thought through with care. The village setting is attractive for local walks - and it's a 25 minute Grab ride into the centre of Yogya and for travel further afield, Bintha was very efficient at arranging drivers. We feel really blessed to have experienced such warm hositality and would return in a heartbeat.

For us, it was all perfect.
