Family Mountain Cottage

Tuin was mooi, rustige beekje was een rivier. Mooie locatie tegen de bergen.

We waren hier in mei en hadden niet veel geluk met het weer. Geen probleem—wij vinden het niet erg om binnen te blijven om te lezen of spelletje te spelen. Het meubilair was echter zeer onvoldoende: er was geen fatsoenlijke tafel in het huis, de verwarmingspanelen waren wel geïnstalleerd maar niet aangesloten op elektriciteit (alleen een kachel, waardoor je natte kleding niet onbeheerd kunt laten drogen) – alleen het paneel in de badkamer kon worden aangesloten. De banken waren oud, te laag, stoffig en ingezakt, waardoor comfortabel zitten onmogelijk was. Er waren ook geen lampen die voldoende licht gaven om te lezen. We hebben hierover contact opgenomen met de hosts, maar hun enige reactie was dat zij niets aan het weer konden doen en vroegen of we hulp nodig hadden bij het aansteken van de kachel. We weten hoe we een kachel moeten aansteken—wat we echt nodig hadden was een werkend verwarmingspaneel, een tafel en een lamp. Niet erg oplossingsgerichte hosts. Ik denk dat het in hartje zomer vast een prima plek is, maar de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding van het interieur is teleurstellend.

We loved the house and wonderful back yard, the river and all the facilities. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back. This is a great place fir starting the transfagarasan and for hiking in the area.

The home was in a beautiful setting and very quiet and peaceful. It is a great base for exploring the mountains. It was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The host was very communicative, and we really appreciated the traditional breakfast our first morning. We highly recommend the Family Mountain Cottage.

A shower curtain would be helpful.

We didn't have breakfast but it was not in the plan so no problem about that. The place was wonderful. Getting the keys was super easy, the landlord gave me clear instructions abut everything. The location is amazing, it is quiet and very close to fagaras.
