Electric outlets didn’t work in our tent and there was no hot water. I would prefer to have normal 230V outlet rather then USB ones

"Camp does not really exist?"

6.0

Unique to stay a night in the Sahara

- We booked a stay with exceptional luxury camp, but in fact did not stay in the camp illustrated on the pictures. We stayed in “Sahara sunny luxury camp”. (They were really nice though) - The hosts were not transparant about the exact additional fees for transport after having sent multiple messages in advance. They only communicate it 1 day in advance of your stay (€65 per person for 4x4 transport, €105 per person for quad transport which fluctuates from other reviews), making it difficult to assess how much you will actually pay. - You can only pay in cash to a guy that seemed only interested in earning as much money as possible.

"Beautiful nature, good location, helpful staff, but no important information in advance"

7.0

We stayed for 2 nights, the staff were helpful, good communication, the dinner (extra-paid) was good. Nice music band around the fire after dinner. The nearest dunes are amazing and the sky can't be described by words. The jeep tour was organized for us, interesting places to visit around Merzouga (45 euros per person). The cost of the package dinner + transfers is 90 euros per person.

As we understood there are two parts of the camp, we can review only the one we stayed in. There was no working sockets in the tents in our camp (another group told us they were not working in theirs either), which was a total surprise for us at night after stargazing (we saw the socket, but haven't checked them in advance). And in general the wires were just twisted together and lying on the carpet. The only place where sockets worked was a common tent, so we used it to charge the phones in the morning after the first night. The photos of the tents have nothing in common with the second camp where we stayed. During the winter be prepared. There are enough blankets to be warm, nevertheless take some hoody to cover your head. We were prepared for a cold night, we had warm clothes, still it was VERY cold inside during the night, as there is no place to get warm after the entertainment near the fire. With all of that you can manage with proper planning (power banks, hoodies, etc.), but for us it was a total surprise. For the second breakfast there was not enough food for everyone, some people had only leftovers after big groups.

"Dirty, nasty perverts"

1.0

A lot of the staff were pleasant

I was literally molested by a member of staff and then the owner did not even care… He was supposed to send me a photo of the staff so I could identify the person that did it and send it back to him and he never did.

"I wish I could have stayed more nights, but I will definitely do it next time. Thanks a lot!"

10.0

The best and safest place for solo female travelers, I spent one night in the Sahara Desert staying at this magical camp. Even though you're in the desert, the camp provides everything you need: a local restaurant for lunch and dinner, and the tents are private with hot water and electricity. It’s an experience worth more than 10 stars. For those staying more than one night, there are many activities to book. Since I only had one night, I booked just a camel tour to visit the Erg Chebbi dunes. The food is also delicious Moroccan cuisine is tasty. The stars at night offer impressive views. It’s really worth staying more than one night. Thanks again, everyone!

A memorable Experience in the Desert of Merzouga!!! Hassan our Camel guide took us on an amazing journey into the dunes of Merzouga to enjoy an amazing sunset, the camp too is just wonderful, we liked it so much , we had private luxury tents , with their own bathrooms, even in the desert we had hot water and everything comfy. Highly recommend this desert campsite We will be back

Everything was just perfect
