Sigiri Holiday Bungalow

Le patron et les employés sont extrêmement gentils et attentionnés. Côté repas leur curry est délicieux, un des meilleurs de notre tour du Sri Lanka. Une aide précieuse pour réserver les longs trajets en voiture, prix imbattables. Nous regrettons de les quitter.

Immediately when we arrived, the manager and his crew were very friendly and inviting. The manager was very helpful, giving information, offering to arrange transport etc. Although only the manager spoke quite good English and (I guess) his right hand man spoke a little bit of English, all of the crew where very kind, humble, warm, caring and helpful. I wish they spoke a little bit better English though. Not because that caused any problems at all (because the manager was always there in literally a minute), but because I would have loved to explain to them the cardgame we played while they were looking in fascination. The staf was always busy helping guests, cooking food or keeping the beautiful and serene garden (with very nice pool) nice and tidy. If you are lucky you see monkeys running around and swinging the trees of the neighbouring property in the morning and you will definitely see a lot of squirrels. All the food we tasted was truly amazingly tastful and very reasonably priced. The last night we even got a table full of different Sri Lankan dishes wich were ofcourse again: delicious. We spent 3 days there and we basically all the time used Manju the tuktuk driver, who lives across the street and is friends with the manager, to get around for what we believed were fair prices (so we didnt really negotiated with him). He sometimes stopped to buy us fruit or coconuts, showed us beautiful secret spots and even his ricefield, house and family). Huge thanks to him, we really enjoyed it and it saved us the pain of negotiating prices with unknown drivers. Oh yeah and when you call him to ask to pick you up and you dont hear an answer but only the sound of a tuktuk and traffic: dont worry about having to maybe take another tuktuk, give him 10 minutes and he magically shows up. We definitely recommend this place and also Manju.

Yes, we have to be honest: The room was fairly clean but could have been a bit more clean (some dust and little webs in the corners). The bathroom was not the nicest (low water pressure, could use an update and could have been a bit more clean). The water in the pool could have been a bit more clean. The wifi was not great. But for us, the great hospitality and food definitely made up for it!

Nous avons beaucoup aimé la chambre qui comportait un grand lit très confortable ainsi que la piscine qui nous a permis de nous délasser après les visites.

À notre arrivée, le patron nous informe que des enfants ont cassé la serrure de notre porte, il nous a mis un cadenas le soir même. De plus le flacon du gel douche était vide, et il n'y avait presque plus de papier toilette. Nous avons demandé et cela nous a été donné sans problème mais cela nous a un peu surpris pour un hôtel qui semble soigner les apparences.

Todo. El personal increíble siempre atento y dispuesto a ayudar en todo! La comida deliciosa, mucho mejor que en los restaurantes próximos a la zona. Para repetir sin duda. La wifi de lujo.

¡Nuestra estancia fue perfecta! El lugar es muy acogedor, pero lo que realmente marca la diferencia es el trato de las personas que lo gestionan. Siempre con una sonrisa, amables, atentos y dispuestos a ayudar en todo momento. Nos hicieron sentir como en casa desde el primer día. La comida estaba deliciosa, el entorno es tranquilo y auténtico. ¡Sin duda lo recomendamos!

Los trabajadores muy amables y serviciales. El desayuno normal.

La habitación estaba sucia. Hormigas y bichos en el suelo y las paredes. Toallas amarillas asquerosas con manchas. Las fundas de las almohadas olían horriblemente. Me encontré una rana en el baño y muchos mosquitos. Y la habitación estaba al lado de la carretera asi que se oían todos los coches que pasaban. Horrible el sitio. Para nada merece la pena ese precio.
