Mountain Edge Unawatuna

This was my second stay at Mountain Edge Unawatuna, and once again, it was a truly relaxing experience—even if just for one night. The property remains a hidden gem: peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by greenery, yet only a few minutes from Unawatuna and Jungle Beach. What made this stay was the addition of a brand-new air conditioner in the apartment—it made the room super comfortable, especially during the warm afternoon hours. A great upgrade! The one-bedroom apartment is still as clean, spacious, and well-equipped as I remembered—with a full kitchen, washing machine, and a lovely private terrace to sit and enjoy the mountain air. The place is perfect for a peaceful short stay or even a longer getaway. The hosts were, as always, friendly, helpful, and respectful of privacy. They’ve clearly put care into maintaining and improving the property over time. Overall, I had a fantastic second stay and truly appreciated the added comfort of the new AC unit. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind in a quiet, well-kept, and budget-friendly spot in Unawatuna. I’ll definitely return again.

I loved the peaceful location, the cleanliness of the apartment, and the addition of the new air conditioner that made the stay even more comfortable.

It is extremely a nice place. Very calm and convenient with all the facilities. Very clean and beyond the value for money . Btw its very cool covered with trees. No any disturbances & close to UNAWATUNA world famous natural beach and ancient Galle city. The owners respect the guests and provide additional support if needed . I highly recommend this place to anybody around the world who travels to visit unawatuna beach, ancient Galle city & jungle beach . Thank you very much for your excellent service 🙏

This is a great deal for the price. Great location, not too far from the centre. 10/10 facilities. I would be happy to pay more for this place, super clean as well.

Nice tidy one bed apartment with cooking facilities,nice quiet location with lots of monkeys around.10 mins walk to the beach.

Just a little bit to far away from the beach,motorbike rental less than £6 a day so wasn't a problem.

You can tell it’s brand new- super clean no funky smells. The hosts are wonderful and cannot do enough for you, even hanging a mirror in the main room( I was the first booking ) and offering a cot for my son. You have patio furniture and a table and chairs at the back of the property watching the monkeys in the jungle . This was my favourite accommodation in Sri Lanka

Was slightly tricky to find as no sign, so had to find an image of the gates from the booking site and match it up but very minor details
