Cabana Soarelui Retezat

Nous nous sommes trompés lors de la réservation. Nous avons réservé une chambre avec la salle de bain privée à l’extérieur de la chambre , ce qui n’est pas très pratique. Sinon nous avons apprécié le confort des lits, la terrasse avec une petite table et des chaises, un petit réfrigérateur, la gentillesse des hôtes qui ont tout fait pour nous êtres agréables y compris pour les repas. Le logement était à proximité de jolies balades.

This is a beautiful place, family run, with a family feel, and we met people that keep coming back every year. It's located at the beginning of the trek toward Retezat National Park, but you'll need a car, although I did walk to Carnic and hiked the easy trail to Lolaia Waterfalls from there. The owners are permanently trying to update and upgrade the place, and their love for it shows. It is also completely self reliant energy-wise, It has all the facilities, but you need to let them know about food as the restaurant service is on request, only for guests, as being up in the mountains food has to be brought and prepared. Kind of like a bed and breakfast, but you can ask for whatever meals you desire, drinks etc. Communicate your needs to the owners, they made every effort to accommodate us. Seems people invariably leave with new friends...

The owners of this hotel are incredibly hospitable — you feel as if you’re sitting by the fire with old friends. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious! We loved everything about our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape the city and truly recharge. The surrounding nature is stunning, and you can feel that the owners have put a lot of love and heart into this house. We truly hope to come back one day! ❤️
