Clarence House Shanklin

The welcome pack of coffee and eggs was excellent. The soft furnishings in the bedroom we beautiful and looked expensive. The patio was comfortably furnished, so we enjoyed sitting out there. The location was excellent for access to the coastal path and Shanklin.

The entry path was shabby in need of resurfacing. The bathroom needs some hooks and the heated towel rail has been disconnected. The tap was dirty and woodwork needs repainting. There was only one saucepans and no frying pan. There were no toiletries which had been advertised as part of the welcome pack.

Fantastic location. Walking distance to many great places to eat, the beach, stores, and attractions. Comfortable room has what you need for a pleasant stay.

Motion sensor light was a problem not a help. I'd prefer a light weight alternative to the heavy bed cover.

Lovely holiday let, perfect for our needs. We particularly enjoyed the use of the garden. Location was good. Although we had to park on the road, there was always a space even though we visited in peak holiday season (August). Would definitely return. Very good value for money. Thank you to Rosamund and Roger for their lovely welcome and thoughtfulness throughout our stay.

Clean & well-prepared apartment ; good location ; quiet & peaceful feel to the accommodation ; cosy ; host supportive, flexible, friendly ; very good base for a good stay on IoW

A kettle would have been handy, though boiling water on stove was ok ; one or two kitchen utensils needed fixing ; no washing machine, having understood from pre-stay info that there would be one

A very warm and friendly welcome, lovely clean room. Unfortunately I wasnt able to spend as much time in it due to work but I'm booking again for next year if thats sufficient reccomendation :) .

Parking can be a bit hit and miss - but thats to be expected and I was always able to find a spot fairly close by.

Love the style of the property. Big airy studio room. Cool in the hot weather. Comfortable beds and sofa. Large well equipped bathroom, with two types of shower fitments as well as bath. Easy street parking. Close to Shanklin high street, and beach. Value for money.
