Aurora Stay- Aurora garden Apartment

Clean, comfy and quiet with good amenities, for a decent price considering the location. There are bus stops nearby, so it's a quick 15 min to the city center: perfect spot! Great communication, which made the check-in and check out simple and easy.

I stayed in Tromsø with three friends, and we absolutely loved our stay! The apartment is super cozy, comfortable, and had everything we need. The location was also great — it’s about a 30-minute walk to the city center, but with bus stops and supermarkets just 5 minutes away, getting around was super easy. On top of that, the hosts were great! They were always quick to respond and super helpful with all our questions. We had such a great experience and would recommend this place to anyone visiting Tromsø!

We spent one week in this apartment with our 6 year old child. We enjoyed our stay. The apartment is close to the city center, the bus station is very close and a big Eurospar is also in the vicinity. The apartment is big enough to have a comfortable stay. One of us was sleeping on the couch; we knew that the bed wasn’t big enough and it was just fine. Kitchen and bathroom were both well equipped. I will recommend this apartment. I recommend to bring spikes with you, the walk from the bus station and the path to reach the entrance of the apartment could be very slippery.

Some suggestions: a small furniture for stowing the microwawe and some food, I missed some possibility to hang our clothes in the sleeping room and we really would have enjoyed meeting you!

The property’s name is somewhat misleading. The advertised pictures are not entirely accurate, as there is no terrace garden available for guests. The apartment is situated in the basement of the main house and lacks aurora views, being surrounded by other houses. The space felt unsafe due to the lack of a dedicated door separating the apartment from the common areas, leaving it exposed to a locked side door leading to the main house ( see pictures). This design made it feel as though anyone from the main house could access the apartment at any time, especially unsettling at night or when we were away, leaving our belongings behind. Additionally, there were no locks on the bedroom or bathroom doors, further diminishing the sense of security. The apartment is not recommended, particularly for families traveling with young children. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with no microwave, only two pots, and no basic seasonings like salt and pepper as a courtesy. During our stay in December, the air conditioning settings were not functional, leaving the apartment freezing in the winter cold. The host, who was on holiday during our arrival, had not ensured that the heating was properly adjusted. Although I reached out to address the issue, they asked me to send a picture of the thermostat, which I was unable to do. The noise from the main house was another issue, as footsteps and loud movements from upstairs disrupted our sleep, especially at night. Overall, our stay was uncomfortable for our family of three, and we would not recommend this property.
