Hoalu Ecolodge Homestay

A beautiful homestay close to nature. Good price. Delicious food. Exellent and helpful staff. This is the best place i have ever stayed in. Perfect place to relaxing for few day. I booked 1 night but stayed 2 night more. Because i love this place so much . The first when i get over night bus i need to be arrived early in the more. And i thinks i really lucky can get check in at that time. Some place you need to pay for early check in but in hoalu ecolodge i dont neet to pay any more. All time i eat here . The food really good and cheap price. The big bed make me comfotable. Staff alway beyon you and can organice everything and gave good advice. Easily to visit boat tour and view poitn only 10 munite by moto bike. Good weather so can visit every where perfect

The road

1. The location is great if you're planning to rent a bike/bicycle as it's away from the noisy tourist town and is surrounded by limestone karsts and fields 2. The staff is nice and friendly, the main lady is super accommodating and helpful 3. Decent food at the restaurant 4. Not a terrible value for money

1. We didn't realise the place was very popular with backpackers/solo travellers which wasn't really the vibe we expected. Our fault, should have noticed they've got a 12-bed dormitory room. 2. We stayed at the Triple "Bungalow" which was more of a shed than a bungalow without windows or any source of natural light. And you can hear absolutely everything from the restaurant which is right opposite the room + from the adjacent room. Could even see a bit into the neighbouring bathroom as the bamboo sticks + a plastic sheet didn't cover the entire wall 3. We thought beds were very uncomfortable and any movement resulted in a loud cracking cry of the bamboo foundation 4. The pond needs cleaning, it stank of rotten water 5. While the room and the common areas weren't dirty per se, lots of things looked very battered and in desperate need of replacement., Like, outdoor umbrellas were baked with mud and dust, our bedding had noticeable stains, bathroom mirror was covered in limestone, shower hose orange with rust, etc.

The pool and family dinner were absolutely perfect.

I spent over a week at this place and it’s absolutely worth recommending. It’s a beautiful spot with a pool in an idyllic, private setting. The staff is very friendly, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The dormitory is quite spacious, and you have plenty of privacy. The location is unbeatable, and they rent out motorbikes and bicycles to get around. I was working online during my stay, and the Wi-Fi was excellent. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy this area of Vietnam, I 100% recommend staying here.

The staff were so friendly and helpful! The location is absolutely beautiful and the pool and pool table kept us entertained. Close to the sites worth visiting. We could easily rent a motorbike and they booked our VIP bus to Hanoi for us. Highly recommend!

Beautiful environment. Good facilities in the bedroom for two

Really nice stay and location, delicious breakfasts, really tasty and fair price food on site as well. We had the family dinner one night and that was really tasty (but a bit more expensive). Bicycles and scooters to rent (although not the best condition) We didn’t go in the swimming pool but it looked nice. Had a pool table to use, was very wonky, but still full. Located very close to the boat tours and beautiful routes to cycle (although the road to and from the hostel is very bumpy 😅) friendly and helpful hosts who helped us book the night bus to Phong Nha including a taxi to the terminal

The bathroom wasn’t very clean and flooded every time someone showered, so you had to wade through water to the toilet

they have bicycles you can use for free to explore Hoalu. It's a nice swimming pool area with lots of lounge chairs and pool table

got the worse mosquito bug bite attack of our lives sitting in the hammocks but that was our fault

Location, bedroom, super friendly staff.

Some common areas could be better protected from the cold. Unfortunately it was colder than expected but the eating area was outdoors so we were cold during breakfast and dinner :(
