Nice old cottage renovated very good with the space we needed and good location

Lovely little cottage, decorated really nicely and in a great location. The bed was very comfortable, and the area the cottage is was nice and quiet - no early or late noise. The long burner was really nice to have and warmed up the whole cottage.

The cleanliness wasn’t at a great level, the drying rack didn’t look like it had been cleaned for a while. Under the sofa was covered in crumbs and dust and so were various areas around the cottage like the edges of the kitchen cupboards, there were spiders and cobwebs in most of the corners of the living room as well. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice & clean so I think the kitchen/living area just needs a deep clean. Also was a bit disappointing to arrive in the cottage with no tea/coffee/sugar, for the price we’ve stayed at other cottages in Whitby that provide these little amenities.

The location is excellent, right in the middle of Whitby and close to many of the places you might want to visit. My family and I had a very comfortable stay. The two ensuites are small but well-equipped and the showers have excellent water pressure. My elderly parents visited for a day and we found the alleyway leading to the property a bit difficult to negotiate with a wheelchair - but we managed.

Perfect location and it was so clean

Trying to find the property was a nightmare as it’s the wrong address we’re giving.. found it after wasting 40 minutes and I struggled with the stairs, my youngest daughter was scared coming down them. Beds were so uncomfortable, we were meant to stay till the Friday but left on the Thursday as we couldn’t sleep on the beds and everyone was exhausted
