Galawa Beach Apartments

Not ideal with small children okay for adults.

There are mosquitos, keep nets on all windows. We were forced to close windows early to prevent mosquitos from coming in and thus with standing the heat despite the fans. If all windows had nets, we would have been happy to leave the bedroom (master) window open a little longer to enjoy the breeze.

It took us time to spot the apartment as there was no signage. Though we reached the place and sought direction from the security personnel to locate the apartment, he simply didn't know that he was working for Galawa Beach Apartments!

Good location, very spacious and easily accessible to cafes, shops and transport. The host was willing to come to a compromise when issues could not be resolved. Kudos to the cleaner Lois who does a great job.

Instructions on how to find the property was not clear from the outset. The living room was unbearably hot even with the balcony doors open which made it virtually unusable throughout my stay. Other reviews echo the same sentiment. The host really needs to take guests feedback on board and seriously consider installing an A/C in the living room. WIFI is slow and unstable, inadequate for remote working. The apartment doesn't have a washing machine but laundry service is available for a fee... this is misrepresented in the listing. Lastly, the mosquito net in the bedroom has big holes and needs replacing.

Essendo un "sottotetto" è molto caldo quindi l'uso dell'aria condizionata è un must (nei periodi di gran caldo) Being an "attic" is very hot so the use of air conditioning is a must (in periods of great heat) C'è un "banco bar" con degli sgabelli ma non un tavolo/ sedie dove sedersi a mangiare o lavorare There is a "bar counter" with stools but not a table/ chairs to sit and eat or work

AC in the bedroom

**DO NOT STAY HERE**No AC at all in living room. Unbearable to stay in there as too hot so can’t use the apartment as intended. Was told they double booked our room when we arrived had to wait 45 minutes for our room - 8 hours after room should have been ready. No specific hotel staff as they also work at the cafe so continuously waiting to speak to someone and even then resolutions aren’t given. Owner is extremely rude. cockroach in the bedroom. hot water never worked. no refund for our stay was given. we checked out early. Go to Diani Cottages instead much nicer, better facilities and cheaper and staff are lovely.

The convenience of kokos right below, very fairly priced for the size and location. Lovely access to a cosy beach and amazing staff

If you dunno how to sleep through noise the tuktuks can wake you up early.

Good location in central area

Facilities were lacking and communication was poor, wifi in apartment didn't work. TV didn't work on arrival but was fixed, but would be good if manager checked everything was in working order before arrival. Couldn't get stove to work as electric starter broken but was then given a lighter to use but again could have been checked, no kettle in kitchen
